Support and Testing Analyst

Govtech provides automation services for over 50 Local Councils across the UK. Each year, these services automate the processing of millions of Council Tax, Business Rates and Benefit transactions.

Due to the continued growth of our business, we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to help support these services. 

Following training, you will be required to use your knowledge to support councils that use our services with queries around automatic processing. In addition, you will test new or existing automation functionality to ensure the outcomes of this automatic processing in the Revenues & Benefits system are accurate and effective.

What the role requires:

Applicants will need the ability to analyse information, plan, monitor and use their own initiative, and most importantly be customer focused at all times.

You will work as part of a team of experienced Revenues and Benefits skilled staff supporting our services and full training will be provided on the automation services that we offer. 

This role is classed as hybrid. Office working will be needed during the training period but following a successful probation period, the successful candidate will be able to work from home part of the working week. This is a challenging and rewarding role for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working as part of a dedicated team and takes pride in delivering a first-class service.

Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience: Microsoft Office 365

Desirable criteria for the role: have knowledge of the legislation relating to Council Tax, Business Rates or Housing Benefit & Council Tax support

Work Location: Cirencester/ Hybrid

Salary: £24k - £34k depending on experience

Job type: Full-time

Data Quality Assessor

We're looking for an enthusiastic operators to join our team here in Cirencester, based at the Cirencester Office Park.

We provide an innovative service to local authorities throughout the UK by:

  • Ensuring the accurate correction and completion of Housing Benefit and Council Tax claim forms, ready for further assessment by the specialist assessors at the Local Authority office, before loading into the benefits system
  • Providing accurate indexing of all types of Revenues transactions received via web forms (e.g. Change of Address, Direct Debit mandates, Single Occupier Discounts,) ready for loading into Local Authority back-office systems

What the role requires:

This is a Data Verification role which requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. You will require all the attributes which make for a good team member including reliability and responsibility, and good communication skills.
