Sun, fun and success: Govtech Summer gathering ‘24

Amongst our busy schedules, it was great to get (most of) the team together for our annual summer event at The Corinium Hotel in Cirencester. The sun was on our side (result), as we spent the afternoon sharing team successes, getting to know the newest members of the Govtech family, celebrating work anniversaries, and of course, participating in Alan’s infamous quiz!

It was an enjoyable afternoon and with the amount of rain of late, it was pleasant to be able to sit outside, enjoy a drink or two, some tasty food, and simply relax – well… until Alan’s quiz kicked in. This year has been no exception in terms of busyness, but it’s important that we find the time to spend a few hours celebrating our team's contributions and successes – or else we wouldn't be where we are today.

A warm hello to our new team members

As we welcome new customers onboard, we also welcome a growing team to ensure we continue to deliver the highest levels of service we are known for and proud to upkeep. Over the last month our Sales, Customer Service, and Data Quality teams have grown in size; so please let us introduce:

• Keith Graddon our newest Business Development Manager who brings another 26 years of Revenues and Benefits and client service experience to Govtech
• Lizzy Jacka as a Support Analyst, recently completing courses to support her strong interest in AI and AI ethics
• Karen Whiting joins our Data Quality team and, although quite a career change, Karen has settled in from day dot and everyone in the office is delighted by her delicious home-made baked goodies

There are even more reasons to celebrate our team as some of our longstanding members have just celebrated 15-year employment milestones with Govtech. An achievement that hasn’t gone unnoticed, as they played an important part in helping support Govtech through the early years. So please join us in expressing our thanks to Ros Boor, Viv Smith and Sam Spencer.

The Govtech Summer gathering is always a highlight in our calendar and being able to celebrate the momentous achievements from all the team, in the sunshine, is a clear winner. Growth, longevity, wellbeing and success were all celebrated last Friday, as we all look forward to seeing how the rest of the year unfolds.
