Govtech and Granicus (which acquired Firmstep in 2019) have signed a Reseller Agreement under which Granicus will make Govtech’s suite of Revenues and Benefits web forms, along with Govtech’s eCAPTURE and webCAPTURE digital process automation services, available to councils which have licensed the Firmstep portal suite.

Kirklees MBC has used eCAPTURE and webCAPTURE integration and automation services since 2011 and switched over to the new suite of Govtech-designed forms in April 2020. These were developed in Firmstep and are linked to the Council’s My Account.

Commenting on the partnership, Steve Bird, Head of Welfare & Exchequer Services in Kirklees MBC said:

“There is a lot of synergy between the two organisations which we expect to provide mutual benefits to them and to us”.

Sue Knowles, Head of ICT, Revenues and Benefits in Sandwell MBC described the Agreement as:

“a great combination that will deliver …. some really innovative solutions”.

Pete Honeywell, Digital Transformation Architecture Manager at Plymouth City Council was delighted to see the establishment of a partnership:

“which amounts to a serious value proposition for councils”.

Andrew Melvin, Managing Director of Govtech, said the Reseller Agreement was:

“in the interests of both companies and is customer-driven, since it will help councils to multiply returns on their investments in digital engagement much more rapidly”.
